Linked Brain Data (LBD) is an effort for extracting, integrating, linking and analyzing Brain and Neuroscience data and knowledge from multiple scale and multiple data sources (mainly Web-accessable ones). The LBD platform provides services for Brain and neuroscience knowledge extraction, structured data representation, integration, visualization, analysis, semantic search and reasoning. LBD is proud to present the association graph among various cognitive functions, brain diseases and their relationships to brain building blocks at multiple scales.

Brain Association Graph(BAG) Explore relations and links between neuroscience concepts. The new version of Brain Association Graph provides user-friendly interface for nagivating the knowledge base. Users can find knowledge through relation, search by text, and semantic similarity. The old version of Brain Association Graph is still updating.

Data sources of Linked Brain Data

Data Sources: CAS Brain Knowledge base (core), PubMed, INCF-CUMBO, Allen Reference Atlas, NIF, NeuroLex, MeSH, DBPedia/Wikipedia, etc.

Semantic Data and knowledge on LBD can also be obtained through the LBD SPARQL Endpoint Server.

Advantages of Semantifying Brain Data

1. Enabling the sharing and linking of neuron data at multiple scale; meanwhile with clear identifiers of all data sources.
2. Supporting neuron data management and analysis with the structured neuron ontologies.
3. Obtaining new facts by conducting reasoning on existing knowledge about neural systems.
